The Hagar Qim Archaeological Park consists of two impressive pre-historic, megalithic temples. The two temples named Hagar Qim and Mnajdra were built around 5000 years ago. Both megalithic structures from the Neolithic period are considered to belong to the oldest megalithic remains in the world. The temple of Hagar Qim boasts of the heaviest megalith found on Malta,weighing around 20.000 kilos. The Temple of Mnajdra impresses with its beautiful setting and semi circular rooms. The temples of Malta are a must see for all lovers of history and archaeology.
