In Europe the barn owl lives in open agricultural areas and small towns. The barn owl is a small owl, light in color, with long legs and wings (wingspan 95 inches) and a small tail. Depending on the subspecies, they become 30 to 40 centimeters tall and they weigh between 200 - to 600 grams. He has a white (light gray color) heart-shaped face with small black eyes. During dusk, down and night the barn owl hunts for small rodents and mammals, like mice. He flies almost silently and very low (few meters) over the ground.
